Hi, I'm Samantha
I founded the Events Career Club as a place to give event profs like you all the insider knowledge and support they need to really thrive.
For over 20 years I’ve been managing events all over the world, in a range of sectors that include sport, academia, pharmaceuticals, banking, public sector, and weddings. In that time, it’s safe to say I’ve pretty much seen it all!
I’ve spent hours doing data entry as an industry newbie, experienced redundancy – twice – and now I have my own event planning business, while also teaching on the MA in Creative Events Management at Falmouth University.
I’ve definitely had my fair share of highs and lows! So I understand exactly how demoralising things like job hunting can be, and that lonely feeling as you try to figure everything out on your own. But I also know that whatever your specific situation, there’s always opportunity to be had (even with a curveball like a pandemic!) when you’re equipped with the know-how and confidence to capitalise on it.
I can’t wait to share my hard-won expertise with you and empower you to take control of the next step in your career in events.

FAQs:
- How do I access the private Facebook Group? You will be sent a link to the Group once you have signed up for the membership
- What if I can't attend the monthly masterclasses? All the monthly masterclasses will be recorded and available afterwards in the FB Group and in the membership portal.
- How do I access the resources? All the resources will be in the membership portal.
- What if I change my mind and the membership isn't right for me? There is absolutely no tie in. If your circumstances change or you don't feel it is right for you, payment will be taken for the current month you are in and then cancelled from then on.
- When will the socials be held? There will be 2 held a year to allow everyone to network, meet each other and have fun! They are not compulsory but fun for you to join in with! At the moment these are held virtually.
